KRAZY FOR KATS IS NOW CLOSED FOR RESCUE OR TNR WORK IN 2026.
TRAPPING ASSISTANCE - T.N.R.:
T.N.R. stands for Trap-Neuter-Return. This is a program that offers some rescue groups offer to help trap abandoned, injured, or lost cats and to work with feral cat colonies. Please note that rescue volunteers are overflowing with animals during “kitten season” which runs from early spring to late fall. Please offer a generous donation for this rescue and adoption service.
NOTE: LA animal shelters will NOT help you with TNR and any cat/kitten you bring them will be put down in (5) days which is the minimum hold time before euthanasia. They will NOT keep feral cats and there is no such thing as a "no kill shelter" in California. L.A. County shelters are far worse than L.A. City shelters if you must bring an animal there. Agoura Shelter and the Pasadena Humane Society are the best ones with low kill but you must live in their area zone for them to take in cats.
Here is a great website with resources to help you with TNR. It all depends on your location. Groups will either come help you trap, show you how to do it, or trap the animals for a fee.
