Los Angeles Kitten and Cat Adoptions
"The Krazy Kat Girl"
I had an amazing childhood. I was raised in the great state of ALASKA and was taught to respect the beauty of nature and all of God’s creatures.
Growing up I always had a love for animals. I spent countless hours watching "Wild Kingdom," Jacques Cousteau’s "Underwater Adventures" and, of course, "Animal Planet." My new favorite show is The "Dog Whisperer!"
I can remember telling everyone that I wanted to be a Veterinarian. I would practice surgery on my stuffed animals and we always had numerous dogs, cats, birds, fish, hamsters and rabbits in our house. I really wanted to live on a farm! Then I found out you had to get up at 4 am to feed the cows! No way!
In 1986 I had a wonderful opportunity to move to Los Angeles and start a new life. While I did not become the Veterinarian that I thought I would be, I did find a connection in the healing arts. By the time I was 23 years old, I was a Certified Massage Therapist, Hypnotherapist, Instructor, Life Coach and Motivational Speaker.
My goal is to help others make life-long changes by providing tools for personal and professional growth. While I have been immersed in the community of behavioral therapy and public speaking, my love for animals never left me. I now spread the word on animal rights and inform the public about how to care for the many homeless cats and kittens in need.
I am grateful to be in contact with some wonderful rescue groups and organizations dedicated to helping feral cats and stray kittens. I work with Best Friends CatNippers (www.bestfriends.org/la) and Fixnation (www.fixnation.org) here in Los Angeles. My contribution is to work with these rescue teams and TNR (trap, neuter and release) programs to help cut back on the enormous feral cat population.
I also do volunteer work with the California Wildlife Center (www.californiawildlifecenter.org) and I was in Africa for 2 1/2 months working with the baby lions, cheetahs, monkeys and rhinos! What an experience! Take a look at the Photos and videos on my Journey to Africa page.
I believe my upbringing and ability to connect so well with both people and animals will help make a difference in this world. I have opened my home and heart to fostering kittens and cats by adopting them to wonderful families.
My goal is simple… to help one kitty a day find a loving home and each feral colony to be fed, spayed and neutered. I hope to see you along my journey!
