Adoption Fees & Contracts Adoption Policy & Return Agreement

Thank you for your interested in adopting a rescue kitty from the Famous Kat House!

ADOPTION FEES:    "CASH ONLY"     You must be over 21 years old to adopt.

Please keep in mind these kittens are NOT free.  It is very expensive to volunteer and take care of rescue animals. It can cost up to $400 - $500 for complete medical work for one kitten which is why we charge a small adoption fee. Donations to the Kat House are also very much appreciated.

  • Adoption Fees range from $95-$150 (and up) for teenage and adult cats.

  • Adoption Fee is $125 (and up) for hand-raised bottle babies and young kittens.

  • $150 - $300 for long haired and pure breed mixes such as siamese, snowshoe and persians.

  • Special needs kittens/cats may have different fees according to their concerns.

  • A $75 "non-refundable" deposit is required to put a kitten or cat on hold for a later date with the balance due at the time of adoption.

  • I do not adopt out kitties as "gifts" unless they are going to the same home you live in.

  • Owner Release/Return Policy:  We do not promise we will be able to "immedately" take back your kitty  if we are very full.  If we do, there is a "re-homing fee" of $50 (minimum) per cat for every 6 months they were in your possession.  We may also request any medication, food and supplies you have used for your pet to be donated.  If you do need to give up your pet, contact us to make some decisions!

     * For example:  You had the kitty for 6 months = $50.  You had kitty for over 6 months = $100

  • When available, I can provide a cardboard carrier for a small fee of $5. If you have your own carrier, please bring it with a towel inside for comfort.

  • When I have these in stock, I can also provide a litter box, scooper and litter for a fee of $5.

  • You will receive a FREE goodie bag of toys, food, valuable kitty information and a medical chart.

  • If the vaccination series is not complete at the time of adoption for young kittens, I can provide the next shots at the Kat House.  Please refer to:  Kitty Therapy & Services.
